Limerick Choral Union is offering a number of bursaries to assist in becoming a member of Limerick Choral Union Choir. The bursaries will cover membership, scores and workshops up to a maximum value of €300. The purpose of these bursaries is to support professional development.
Made up of singers aged from 18 years upwards, Limerick Choral Union (LCU) meets weekly every Wednesday from 8pm for a two-hour rehearsal under the expert guidance of Musical Director, Malcolm Green. The rehearsals culminate in two major performances by the choir together with a number of performances throughout the year. There are two seasons, the first from September to December and the second from January to May. If successful in attaining a Bursary, attendance at all concerts together with attendance at rehearsals is mandatory in accordance with Limerick Choral Union’s Rules and Regulations.

2. Eligibility
- Awards will only be offered to applicants who have auditioned and have been accepted to join Limerick Choral Union and also to current members of LCU.
- Applicants must be resident within the catchment area and attend every rehearsal in accordance with LCU Rules and Regulations, with a view to performing in all concerts.
- Applicants must be 18 years or over.3. Assessment

Successful applicants will receive in writing a Letter of Offer, which will outline the specific terms of the Bursary offer. The Bursary is awarded according to Limerick Choral Union rules and regulations.

Appendix 1.
Terms and Conditions of the Award
- The bursary will be used towards membership and scores and will be paid directly to Limerick Choral Union.
- Successful candidates will be asked to provide a written report to Limerick Choral Union on completion of the project. If not completed, eligibility to further applications will not be entertained.Appendix 2

Any personal information you give us will be processed, stored and managed in strict accordance with General Data Protection Regulations.
The purpose for processing your data is to process your application for Limerick Choral Union’s Ted Brooks Bursary in line with the criteria of this award. The information you provide will be assessed by an Assessment Panel. Your information will be retained for five years if you are granted an award and for one year if not granted an award. If you do not furnish the personal data requested, Limerick Choral Union will not be able to process your application.
You have the following rights, in certain circumstances and subject to applicable exemptions, in relation to your personal data:
- the right to access the personal data that we hold about you, together with other information about our processing of that personal data
- the right to require us to rectify any inaccuracies in your personal data
- the right to require us to erasure your personal data
